Shall the Gozo Heliport be transfered into an airstrip for small planes?

Last month the helicopter link between Malta and Gozo was terminated. Since then discussions have been going on. What people mainly argue about is whether small planes shall take over the service instead of helicopters. But therefore the existing Heliport in Gozo would need to be extended.
What do the Maltese favourise, a resumption of the helicopter service or the introduction of plane operation?

450 votes were cast in this poll. Unfortunately, there were 12 people who voted more than one time. The votes of these 12 people had to be made invalid in order to obtain a result which is more honest and true. So the number of valid votes was 424.

The country is divided in this question. No clear preference can be taken from the results. As many people are in favour as against an airstrip for Gozo.
The editor would like to point out, that this poll is not representative for the whole country. However, it gives a clear indication anyway.
