Shall the Maltese Divorce Laws be changed and harmonised with EU legislation?

Results of 20th January 2007

The issue of divorce is actually a very hot one. What is your opinion about it? Shall legislation about this be hamronised all over Europe? So, shall the Maltese Laws be changed?

Between 10th and 20th January 2007 over 250 people participated in this online poll. Thank you very much!

Here the details:

282 votes were cast in this poll.

Unfortunately, there were 15 people who voted more than one time. The votes of these 15 people had to be made invalid in order to obtain a result which is more honest and true.
So the number of valid votes was 259.

Here the percentages that the various answers got:
Yes:                              180 votes   =   69,50 %
No:                                79 votes   =   30,50 %

INTERPRETATIONS:

A majority of voters are in favour of a European harmonisation and so they want a change of the Maltese laws.

The editor would like to point out, that this poll is not representative for the whole country. However, it gives a clear indication anyway.

The results of this poll show that the people want a change in the government's policy. Why shall the Maltese be disadvantaged over other Europeans?
