When will the next General Election be held?

Results of 20th February 2007

Certain rumors are very present this time. Many people expect the government to call for general elections before the European Single Currency EURO fully replaces the Maltese Liri on 1st January 2008 (if it is approved by the EU!).

But will this really happen? Or are these really just rumors? What does the public think? When will the next General Election be held?

Between 10th and 20th February 2007 over 330 people participated in this online poll. Thank you very much!

Here the details:

362 votes were cast in this poll.

Unfortunately, there were 11 people who voted more than one time. The votes of these 11 people had to be made invalid in order to obtain a result which is more honest and true.
So the number of valid votes was 333.

Here the percentages that the various answers got:
2007:                             175 votes   =   52,55 %
2008:                             158 votes   =   47,45 %

INTERPRETATIONS:

A majority of voters think that the next General Election will be held this year. The rumors seem to be more than just that.

The editor would like to point out, that this poll is not representative for the whole country. However, it gives a clear indication anyway.

The results of this poll show that the electorate sees elections this year more probable than next year.
